+ HISTORY OF THE GAME
The 1st Festival was held in the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos thirty five years ago in 1973. The concept was modeled after the Garman Spatakiad Games where youth gather every two years to compete against themselves. Since its inception, the Festival has held fifteen times by twelve states of the Federation including the FCT. During this period, it has hel the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the 16th National Sports Festival (NSF) has finally fixed a date for the 10-day sports fiesta that is expected to bring together youths all over the federation.

The 16th National Sports Festival (Kada Games 2008) to be held in November in Kaduna state, the "Center of Learning" will indeed be a historical event as well as an opportunity to showcase the state to the world. Governor Arc. Namadi Sambo reiterated this fact
